To their credit (or was it due to all the phone calls) the Tazian's invited some resident's of Perry Lake Estates to a meeting to discuss their plans (see below). The meeting was set for Tuesday, February 7th - 2 days before the Planning Commission hearing. Approximately 15 Perry Lake residents attended along with an attorney. The Tazian's gave some background on their developments, some background on the plat in question, presented the proposed plat (see below) and answered questions. Per the Tazian's they were proposing 22 lots with anticipated lot prices of $40,000 - $55,000 and homes (equal to Perry Lake minimums) with basements that were anticipated to range from $200,000 to $350,000.

The questions and response by the Tazian's were as follows:

Question Response

1. What are you planning for construction access?

Worthington Dr. and Galloway Cove will be used. We wish there was another way and we are willing to investigate other alternatives for the initial building of the roads.

2. Would you be willing to post a bond to cover any damage to the streets?

The streets are covered under a bond (later determined to be until Oct-2006) and after that they are the responsibility of the County.

3. Is the land suitable to build homes with basements?

Absolutely. In fact we don't anticipate using any pilings like some of the existing homes in Perry Lake.

4. How can you use the streets? The Highway department says they are not rated for that type of construction?

They are public streets and while I wish there was another way, there is no way that anyone can stop me from using public streets.

5. Why didn't you develop it 2 years ago before Perry Lake was finished?

We didn't own all the land. Originally Mike (Thomas) and I were going to develop it together. then Mike decided to sell. Also, the area ran out of sewer capacity and it cost me a lot of money to increase the capacity. (Of course I was then able to build out section VI ~80 homes.)

6. Why can't you bring access down where your sewer lines are going to be?

We'll look at it, but not sure if there is enough room.
